The most over hyped Seattle area basketball player ever or someone with a great future in hoops? He got a little time off the bench for Garfield this year but probably would have been better served on JV all year.
I'm curious what other people think.

I've seen him a ton and think he's going to be pretty good. He hasn't grown yet, keep that in mind. Will he be an elite D-I prospect?? Can't say for sure right now, let's see what happens when he gets a little bigger and stronger.

No way would he have been better served playing JV ball. He will be looked at to play what I'm assuming will be starter minutes next year and JV doesn't prepare you very well for that. He learned from a good group of seniors and was a part of a great varsity team this year. It's still to be seen if he will be a D-1 talent. Maybe see him becoming similar to Hennings?

Agosto has help on the way or competition for playing time depending on how you look at it. From what I heard two of Rotarys best players from their 8th grade team are headed to Garfield. Jaylin Nowell is #1 and the other kid headed to Garfield is #3. Here's highlights of two of their games Vs Spiece Indiana m.youtube.com/watch?v=rgIc_luvkAoVs Utah X Factor m.youtube.com/watch?v=hceKj4kvPlE

Great post "206".
Curious to see how things go there next year, lots of graduating seniors.

I think he'll be fine, esp after he puts on some weight. I don't think JV would have been a better plan...unless he practiced with the varsity and he only played 1 (maybe 2) quarters of JV games just to keep his minutes up. The problem with doing that to such a highly touted young player is that its difficult to predict how he'll respond to playing on the JV. (top 5th grader in the nation and on JV in HS?)
I hope the best for the kid, but I think he'll be a D-II or mid-major college player....but there is NOTHING wrong with that! I think being ranked so high as a young player was the worst thing that could have happened to the young man! Every time he walks into a gym he has everything to loose. Like wise, his opponents have everything to gain (and that's not a fun way to play basketball).
