Jackson should be very good again - Todd and Kingma are back. Bothell will still have Josh Martin. Garfield always seems to have guys who can play, same with Federal Way. I've heard Mt. Rainier and Beamer have a lot of young talent.
What's the top 10 going to look like next year?

I'm sure a few teams east of the mountains will be good. Jackson will be very tough, especially if they can find someone in the middle. There will be a handful of really good SPSL teams (FW included), South Kitsap brings back two very good guards, and of course the KingCo will be well represented.

Top 5 1. Jackson 2. Federal Way 3. Central Valley 4. Tahoma 5. South Kitsap

Issaquah will be a very tough team next year. Lose their 4th leading scorer (I think?) and that's it. Well coached and the players are disciplined. KingCo is what I know and I'm not sure there will be many elite teams from that league next year, we will see what Garfield comes up with. Newport and Skyline maybe?

Central Valley returns everyone but Austin Rehkow (who is going to Idaho on a football scholly as a kicker--he kicked a 67 yd FG this year) Top 5 1. Jackson 2. Federal Way 3. Central Valley 4. Tahoma 5. South Kitsap My top two are Jackson & CV. Jackson for obvious reasons...6 of top 7 returning, solid coaching...not sure what their non-league schedule looks like, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them run the table. CV is always tough, ask me how I know ! Rick Sloan (who BTW was a solid College QB in his day!) has a solid core of assistant coaches and some tough kids. One thing that I think helps the east side schools immensly is the team camp at Gonzaga. The Spokane schools participate in all 3 team camps (100-120 teams per camp) which helps build A TON of chemstry, esp vs so many tough out of town teams. (12-15 games per camp. No meals, clinics, or mini games = discounted rate too!). Between camps, tournaments and spring/summer/fall league I wouldn't be surprised if they get in nearly 100 games in the off season, which is a ridiculous number. I think South Kitsap will be tough, and with so many Narrows teams graduating their core players (i.e. Olympia Sr's = 44.2 ppg, Stadium looses Anderson-Conley & Powers, B-Prep looses Flynn, Liufau & Miekle) SK may very well fight their way towards their 1st Narrows crown since 2006-07. The backcourt duo of Riley Callaghan and Caulin Bakalarski might be one of the top 5 in the state...the difference between a loss in WCD's/Regionals and making state will be what they can get out of their frontcourt. (And YES, I realize the bias...Coach Callaghan is my coaching mentor, but all of that aside, I believe he is one of the top coaches in the state).

Rev, it helps a lot when you have such an expansive feeder program. Kids look forward to being Bears from as early as grades 1-3.... cvbears.com/youthbasketball/
